Grip Stippling

Composite guns from the factory do not have enough texture to provide sufficient grip when shooting.  It takes fine points to achieve proper friction between the grip and the hand.  The molds the manufactures use can not provide this, and it is way too expensive for them to stipple each gun. 

The factory grip is bad enough under ideal conditions, but the hotter and the more stressful the situation gets, the more the gun starts sliding around in your hand.  When the time comes and your weapon is needed, it could mean life or death if you can't hold on to it.

For the competitive shooter, a proper grip on the gun is crucial for a fast and accurate shot and recovery for the next shot.  If the gun is slipping around in your hand, you are never going to perform adequately.

Grip tape is a standard fix to solve this problem, but it is sloppy and doesn't last very long.  Before you know it, the tape starts sliding around and you have nothing but a sticky mess.  The best alternative I have been able to find are X-Treme grips.  They are cut to fit the gun and look nice.  If a permanent change is not what you are looking for, I can install a set of those for you.

Grip stippling permanently changes the surface texture of the gun.  It is a tedious process, but done right it functions better than grip tape, and never wears down or gets messy.  Plus, it looks great, and stays looking great, adding value permanently to your weapon. 

I shoot in competitions on a weekly basis and would not be satisfied with anything less.  As an NRA instructor, I have seen countless new shooters having problems with their grip.  It is hard to concentrate on fundamentals when you can't hold on to the gun.

These are the best decal grips on the market for your XD or XDM. They are available in several designs, colors, and materials including rubber which is great for carry. The traction tape is a little more aggressive and may not suitable for IWB carry. All color options for the inserts are traction tape including the inserts for the rubber grips.
